On this date 9 years ago, the most embarrassing moment of my life was caught on camera at a Minor League Baseball game in Nashville. But it turned into an opportunity to have some fun in a sportscast. Safe to say I won’t be called up to the Majors anytime soon.

It’s difficult to see the extensive damage in North Texas this week. Just awful for so many lives to be turned upside down. It reminds me of a tornado that blew through Dallas while I lived there. #tbt #sports #stormcoverage

I have such fond memories of covering the team I rooted for when I was a kid. The Dallas Cowboys are a fascinating franchise and I considered it a privilege to share their stories with a rabid fan base in North Texas. Highlights were part of it. But in order to stand out from the other TV stations in DFW, I always kept my eyes open for memorable moments that took viewers beyond the X’s and O’s. Those stories are the most fun to tell…and the most likely to stand out in a sportscast. #storytelling

The Dallas Stars are now only 8 wins away from winning the Stanley Cup. As was the case in 2020, their journey this year will include away games in Edmonton…only this time, they will actually play the Oilers. #hockey #playoffs #pandemic #bubble
