CLARION — Liam Richter, Torin Schmidt, Max Bloom, Markus Stone and Bentley Watson each delivered a single and an RBI as Franklin jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the first frame and never looked back in posting a 14-5 victory over Oil City in a losers’ bracket game of the District 25 Little League Minor Division tournament on Friday night at Paul A. Weaver Park.

Franklin advances to play either Titusville or Southern Clarion at 8 p.m. today with the winner of that contest moving on to face either Clarion or Butler in the loser’s bracket final at 6 p.m. on Sunday. Oil City, which lost to Butler by a 5-1 score on Thursday, was eliminated from the tournament.
