She born in Neptune and was a lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore area. Insurance Jersey City, for 16 years, retiring in 1969.
He was a communicant of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park. He helped found the "Sandpipers," a Monmouth Beach senior citizens group. He was appointed 9th Ward Leader in Jersey City in 1949. He was Jersey City tax commissioner from 1953 to 1959. He was deputy Hudson County clerk, retiring in 1966.
Born in Jersey City, he summered in Mon- mouth Beach since lived there since 1969 before moving to Asbury Park in 1982. His wife, Florence C. Sheeran, died in 1982. Surviving are two sons, John V. Sr.
